Bourgas Airport is located 9km. away from the center of the city and less than a kilometer away from the resort section Sarafovo.

Found in 1927, today it is one of the most modern airports in the country and has the third longest runway on the Balkans, able to take even the biggest airplanes ever made.

The transport to the airport is made with buses, taxis(the taxi rank is on “Arrivals”) and rent a car. The trip from and to Bourgas takes about 15 minutes.

The transport connections are as follows:

- To Sunny Beach and the northern Black Sea coast – road E87 north direction;
- To Bourgas and the southern coast – south on E87;
- To Sofia, west and north-west Bulgaria – A2 highway;
- To Varna – go north on E87, then turn on A2 highway.
